Steinberger Transcale Demon Electric Guitar with Gig Bag

Gaze your eyes upon the ultimate metal monster!
With its devilish looks, 28-5/8 inch scale length, EMG humbuckers and equipped bridge, there is no other guitar that can howl or has the low-end crunch like the new Steinberger Synapse Demon TranScale. Play it open and it's a baritone, roll the built-in capo up a couple of frets and it's a normal 25-1/2 inch guitar.

Designed by Ned Steinberger, the Demon is a HYBRID instrument combining the strength, rigidity and clarity of graphite with the warmth of wood. At the heart of every Synapse is the Cybrosonic neck featuring patented graphite U-channel with adjustable truss rod uniquely crafted into a 3-piece, hard maple neck. Steinberger has then added a smooth and durable phenolic fingerboard and a neck-thru body design to create an instrument with distinctive tonal clarity, sustain, pop and response as well as ultimate stability.

Add to that, a piezo equipped bridge with one piece aluminum saddle combined with low impedance EMG USA humbuckers and you've got an instrument with infinite tonal possibilities and increased frequency response. Isolate the piezo bridge to get simmering acoustic-like tones. Turn up the EMG's and you’ve got classic, high output humbuckers.

Other features include a zero fret for improved intonation, the new Steinberger Combo headpiece to allow for the use of DoubleBall and single ball strings and the patented Direct-Drive double-ball bridge with 40:1 tuners for tuning ease, accuracy and stability that only a Steinberger can provide. With Steinberger, you can change strings in seconds, tune up once and not have to tune again until you change strings again.

The Demon comes with a premium, padded gigbag, and the Synapse Demon’s headless design is compact and capable of fitting into tight places including most overhead airplane bins. Put it all together and you’ve got a guitar of unequalled performance, comfort and flexibility.

What's a Steinberger?
The Steinberger story began in 1979, when Ned Steinberger designed the award winning L-2, a one piece headless bass made entirely of carbon-graphite composite material. Today, Steinberger carries forth Ned's vision with a uniquely innovative offering of guitars and basses.

It's the most innovative guitar or bass in the world. It's an instrument that will last 100 lifetimes, sound great, play like a dream and never, ever have neck problems ... Guaranteed! Even the most destructive roadie won't be able to damage your Steinberger. Its patented stranular graphite construction is the strongest material on the market. In fact, it’s so strong that Steinberger guarantees it for 1000 years!

The consistency between Steinberger models is legendary. If you ever want to add another Steinberger to your collection, chances are it will feel and perform exactly like your other cherished Steinbergers.

A Steinberger makes everything easier--from changing strings to changing climates. Unlike other guitars, your Steinberger will not be affected in the least by the change in temperature. It will never let you down. Your Steinberger neck will not affected at all by humidity. It will stay rock solid and leave you free to play your heart out.
Steinberger - State of the Instrument.

Subject:what a great guitar
Quality: I think this is one of the coolest instruments i've played in years.i received it on a monday, and played a three and a half hour gig with it on wednesday.i still haven't had to tune it . that was two and a half weeks ago. it's built great and feels great as well.
Reliability: only had it a couple of weeks
Overall: i'm a steinberger(gibson) fan . for sure!
Playability and Feel: the neck feels a lot like an SG neck. the grooves in the side for the rolling capo feel a little weird, but iv'e already grown used to them.its really nice to have the rolling capo, and that makes the grooves worth it
Tone: emg 81 emg 85 hot!hot!hot! the peizo with the blend dial gives an amazing amount of tonal variety.lots of punch, almost jangly if you want.thick thick drop d metal baritone badness through my mesa mark4's.
Finish: flat black is flat black. but it gives the demon a sinister weaponlike vibe.
Action: the action was great, i haven't had to do a thing to it
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
