Subject:If Your Thinking of Buying an Epiphone LP.. Buy This Instead...
Quality: The Guitar I received was made in Viet Nam... Very Good Construction. Very Nice Satin Finish Cool Looking and Smooth.. Not Sticky.. Tuners are Cheap ESP or Ping... Should Be Replaced.
Reliability: Only had it for a couple of months, but once I got the Intonation set it stay's in tune well and has Rocked hard Ever Since.
Overall: This First thing you would want to do with guitar is Replace the Coil Tap Knob. You Can't Get A Grip on It and It is Impossible To pull up.. I put a Chrome one in it's place. Pup's are in line with the Quality of the Guitar and fit it well. If you want EMG's, Buy the EC-1000 Instead..
Playability and Feel: Very Comfortable. Belly Cutaway is nice and Guitar is Not Too Heavy. Fret's Nicely all the way up the board with no Buzz. I was worried about buying a Set Neck Guitar, but I was Supprised. As I said in the Title.. If you are Going to buy an Epiphone, Buy This Instead.
Tone: If you play through a Marshall 100W like I do you will be able to get Every Possible Sound Combination out of this Guitar. If you are a Beginner and have a Small Amp You might Want to Invest in Some Boss Pedals or a Boss GT-3.. Or maybe a Digitech RP3.
Finish: I was skeptacle about a Matte Finish, but It is really Cool and the "Wear Spots" make it even Cooler. The neck has a Satin Finish on it so it is really smooth like my Gibson Melody Maker.
Action: O.K. Needed a Pro Set up and Complete Intonation Adjustment. I play with 10's so the strings that were on it had to Come Off...
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
