| Great deal for its Price Point! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| Clearly ESP has a great rep, because I've inspected every inch of this guitar, and the parts that it comes with are great value. Top wood looks great, and the sustain is incredible. Overall, great build quality. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I really can't answer this question, I've only had my guitar for about 3 days. I've been drooling over it those 3 days. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I got this guitar after waiting a week or so, due to backorder. It was definitely worth it to wait for this beast. I haven't found one issue with the guitar, even after inspecting and setting it to my specs. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| It's a very light guitar for a 7-string. I'm just starting on getting to learning a 7, and I must say that switching from my 6-string to this 7-string is TOO easy. It feels way better in my hands as opposed to my 6-string. Perfect for noobies just getting into the 7-string realm. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| The tone is very well balanced, and the pickups sound very good. The low B string is very clear-sounding. Plus, with these pickups being active/passive, you get two choices of sound! I use mine passive, and it sounds great! |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Stain job is incredible. It comes with a black flamed maple veneer, and it adds to a little bit of the brightness. Plus, the pearloid binding on the guitar is PHENOMENAL! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The action was great! The only thing I had to say that was bad, was that the low B string is a .056 gauge. It's a little bit floppy, but just changing it to a .059 or .060 gauge should take care of that! |
