| for quality, this guitar is first rate, details are nice even at close look, the inlays are precise and a cool touch, the original Floyd Rose if milled steel so the sustain is great, better than any other Floyd or liscensed Floyd system out there although Ibanez's ZR trem is pretty good to, neck construction and fretwork are great, well built, solid guitar worth it, I have Fender strats, Ibanez's, Gibson's but this thing is its own guitar, no copycat, has its own tone. overall quality is excellent, no wonder many pro's use ESP. great for soloing | | Reliability:
| tough, quiet, no noises at all-amazing, battery last a good while if you stick with a good brand battery. Just take care of it and thats it. you get what you pay for | | Overall:
| Have been playing for over 20 years and consider myself advanced on guitar, that being said, this guitar is one of my favorites, it is great for soloing or any kind of music. Versatile, killer looking guitar, yet the paint reminds me of the quality of a really nice piano. Glossy black with no orange peel effect, very good quality paint job. mirror smooth. Love this thing. I am an ESP fan after getting the KH2. beautiful yet wicked | | Playability and Feel:
| best playing neck I got, even best the Ibanez prestige wizard 2 neck which is really playable. the jumbo frets are great, of course this thing stays in tune perfectly, once the strings are stretched and you use good strings, I stuck with 9-42 for this one even though I usually use heavier gauge for the tone but with the EMG's its not much of an issue, they sound like 12's or 10's. Also -is comfortable to play, not to heavy, and feels really good overall. | | Tone:
| Tone is very good in a different way, I love passive pickups for there distinct tone, but they are more colored where the EMG's are more transparent yet powerful, which makes them in my opinion, the most versatile pickups out there, they do everything well, Jazz, Blues, Rock, High gain metal, some people don't like that lack of color in the tone but its like you hear more of the wood and strings than the magnets and coils. works well with EQ which opens the door for a lot of tonal possibilities It is a really beautiful tone and ESP and EMG is the dream team together. One of my favorites tones | | Finish:
| as stated earlier, the paint job is of piano quality, like a fine musical instrument, like its costs a lot of money, which it does | | Action:
| action is really good in my opinion, this is a pretty flexible guitar, I have different setups in my lineup but the ESP has no fretbuzz at all on any of the frets, I've been playing this for years and have never heard any fret buzz from any chords. Keep in mind, there is always a compromise, no perfect guitar for every application, but this thing has the best action of all my guitars | | Skill Level:
