James Hetfield's Signature ESP LTD Truckster May Appear Worn on the Outside, but it has a Pure Metal Core!
The Truckster has a look all its own, the finish gives the appearance of a long used LTD that is worn down to the primer in several locations. The LTD Truckster features a 22 XJ-fret rosewood fingerboard on a thin 24-3/4 scale, U shaped neck for comfortable (and aggressive) thrashing. The locking Tonepros TOM bridge and tail-piece ensure the ultimate in string-to-body contact to increase the overall sustain.

The EMG JH Het Set active pickups were designed in conjunction with James himself. These pickups offer the clarity and punch of passive pickups with the power of active pickups. These amazing pickups make the ESP LTD Truckster an absolute tone monster.

ESP EC Style Case
To protect and transport your guitar, ESP recommends the optional EC Style Electric Guitar Case (#ESP ECFF).

Another Great Ltd!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
High quality. No this isn't a more expensive ESP. But it's not a cheap LTD and you can "feel" the difference.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it for a short time but it feels solid.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Very good overall. Compared to my snakebyte this guitar is right there and the snakebyte is amazing!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
A little heavier feeling than the snakebyte actually. Probably has some to to with the way the guitars are balanced. Neck is smooth and makes it easy to maneuver the fretboard. Controls are laid out nicely.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Modern "metal" sound.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is different. Looks cool, and I like the satin feel compared to a glossy feel.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action out of the box was actually pretty bad. Horrible fret buzz to. But running it through a setup fixed that!
