General
Your general opinion of this product.
I gt one of these as a scratch and dent, AKA customer return. The nut had been filed out for heavy strings, so right off the bat I got to replace that. The battery cover is a PITA to get off, and a standard 9v doesn't fit very well. This is my first TOM bridge guitar, as well as my first with the 81/85 setup. Still not sure I love them. Guitar plays well after the new nut and a set-up, nice sustain, nice tone.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Seems pretty solid.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Nice fast neck, was able to get the action down very nicely
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Jury is still out on the EMG's. I was expecting harminics to just leap out of this guitar, and to be honest, they just aren't there.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Beautiful see through black finish.
