ESP LTD Viper 256 Electric GuitarThe ESP LTD Viper 256 Electric Guitar features mahogany set-neck construction in a mahogany body for the ultimate in sustain and tonal clarity. The thin-U neck makes for a very comfortable playing experience all the way up the 24 XJ fret rosewood fingerboard. ESP LH-150 humbuckers and a worn finish makes the Viper 256 both look and sound like a vintage guitar.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It feels solid, a set neck is always a plus, no real quality issues with mine other than being unbalanced.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
So far, so good. I don't expect any issues.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Overall, it's not a horrible guitar, but it is unbalanced so while your playing you are also holding the neck from dropping to the floor which makes playing leads very difficult.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Again, other than being horribly neck-heavy it is a pretty decent guitar.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The only tone issue I have found is the muddy low end. The mids and highs really cut through and you can get some surprisingly good clean tones from the stock pickups. If you play heavier music or drop tunings I would definitely suggest swaping out the pickups.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Maybe from a distance it looks better but up close the finish is pretty bad. It looks nothing like a road worn guitar at all.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Fairly good action from the factory. I still made a few adjustments to the bridge but mostly to suit my preference.
