The EVH Eddie Van Halen 5150 III 50W Guitar Amplifier Head is the little brother to the monstrous 100 watt 5150 III head and packs many of the same features, powerful tone, and supreme versatility! The 50 watt 5150 III’s smaller size and portability make it a perfect amp for players who want arena volume, tone and performance in a compact package. This all tube amp is the perfect match with any of the EVH 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12 cabinets.
The 5150 III 50W is a three-channel amp; channels one and two share EQ, with gain, low, mid, high and volume controls; channel three has gain, low, mid, high, volume and master presence and resonance controls. A selectable impedance (4, 8 or 16 ohms) switch, dual parallel speaker output jacks, effects loop, headphone jack, line out and black hardware make the EVH 5150 III the perfect fit on any stage, studio or garage.

General
Your general opinion of this product.
For me this amp is the best. I have a studio full of amps and pre-amps that I have collected and now I can start selling stuff off. This amp is my final purchase, done! Probably only keeping my Kitty Hawk Dino Pre-amp but everything else can go!!!! Give this amp a try, it absolutely rocks!!!!

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
2 weeks and counting, feels like a tube head and feels like other reliable tube heads. If taken care of should be reliable.
|
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
N/A
|
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Channel 1 is great, nice and clean. Channel 2 can do everything all the way up to full on metal. Channel 3 has more gain on tap then I have ever encountered or needed. I play heavy oriented music and channel 2 is more than enough. 50 Watts is more than enough for private, recording or live. I love this amp and will never let it go, so worth the money, it inspires me to wanna play and play all night!!
