Direct Sound EX25 Extreme Isolation Headphones

The Direct Sound EX-25 Extreme Isolation Headphones were invented by a studio session drummer because of the need for serious isolation! Not only are these great for home studios, stage and studio musicians, and anyone else who needs isolated sound, these headphones are found on film and video location sound sets the world over.

What makes them so extreme?
We use specially designed earmuffs that passively attenuate surrounding sound by a comfortable average of 28 decibels throughout the sound spectrum. With our custom fitted speaker assembly, the speakers are designed to protect your eardrums from damage and improve your recording and performance experience.

Who are they prefect for?
Sound Engineers to monitor the mixer board during live performances while isolating their ears from main speakers.

Stage and Studio Drummers who want to hear how drums are being mixed without having head-phones at high volume.

Studio Musicians Allowing you to hear only the studio mix during recording - eliminating costly return trips to the control room.

Stadium and Dome Events Listen to LIVE broadcasts at medium volume and block out most stadium noise while watching the game.

NASCAR Scanners Using an inexpensive stereo to mono plug, you can plug into your scanner and have the best isolation available to monitor the pit crews and driver.

Subject:Great at work
Quality: These headphones feel just right, not flimsy or "cheap", it is great quality.
Features: I'd have liked a volume control on the headphones, but otherwise it delivers what promises, excellent noise attenuation even from the constant chatting of co-workers; I feel like working on a saturday when nobody is around.
Ease of Use: Headphones, right... plug and play
Value: Best value in its class; if you want to isolate yourself from everything but the loudest noises and listen to your music without harming your ears, these are the choice. maybe the EX-29 are even better, but for this price, the EX-25 are great.
