Really Nice Strat!
General
What is your overall opinion of this product?
My overall opinion is that the guitar is a quality instrument with a look and feel to last a lifetime.
Quality
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
The fit and finish is excellent. Strats are prevalent in all genres of music and this one fits my "Texas Blues" style nicely
Feel
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck feels smoothly playable and in regard to control access: I am a RH guitarist, this guitar is a LH. I having the action reversed for the "Jimi Hendrix" look, but in reverse.
Tone
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
Nice sharp tones and fat warm tones.. the S-1 switch provides the entire spectrum This was a big reason why I bought the guitar.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Perfect. The body join seam is invisible, everything is as advertised
Value
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
I got my money's worth. The comparison is a subjective question; since I like Strats and have played them for over 30 years--nothing plays like a Strat.
Playability
How was the action out of the box?
The action is good, but not my specs for my style. The guitar is going down to Joe Riggio's Service Guitar in Tacoma, WA whence it will come back a precisely set up and tweaked guitar.
