Fender makes Jeff Beck a better strat
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Well made is an understatement. This guitar kills anything from the custom shop and believe me I've had many custom shop strats.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
It's to new but compared to my other pre CBS strats this should hold up fine.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I love the way it looks as I bought mine in White and with the new appointments I love it.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The only problem is the neck is to thin. Better then the 1st one with the baseball neck but on the thin side for me. The controls are like any other strat so no big deal getting used to them.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone is what made me chose this over the Clapton model although I like the Clapton neck better. Nice and bright with a cool shimmer to it.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The paint job is imaculate and with the rosewood neck looks very cool.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was to low for me out of the box so again I had to raise it for a nice high action. The trem works great better and faster to change strings then a Floyd which I will never use. The whole package is so much better then the 1st version Fender made for Jeff. From the pups to the colors and the tuners.
