| | | Subject: | Ritchie Blackmore Signature Fender Stratocaster '97 Japanese | | Quality:
| I own one of these guitars. The Japanese did an excellent job building this model. How dependable? Let's just say, I also have a '97 American Standard w/same finish, rosewood fretboard, delta tone pick-ups, & 5 position switch that I use as my back-up guitar. | | Reliability:
| I bought it from the original owner for $550, guitar & HSC (he ordered it from the Fender factory in Japan in '97 & waited 5 1/2 months for them to deliver it). He played it in a Blackmore Tribute Band, before I got it in early 2000. I've played the S*** out of it for going on 10yrs now & it still plays like the day I brought it home. | | Overall:
| I'm a VERY PROUD OWNER, the best money I've ever spent!! | | Playability and Feel:
| The scallopped fretboard is Great, bending & sweep-picking is awesome. | | Tone:
| The Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounders give it a much darker tone, lots of mids. | | Finish:
| I have a '97 American Standard w/same finish that has a couple of flaws in it. My RB Strat finish is flawless. | | Action:
| Low & fast, but just high enough to play slide on. | | Skill Level:
