Comparing this to my American 62 reissue
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This is a very well made guitar for 1/2 the price. I can't answer how dependable it will be for I only received it today. But, I see nothing the cause it to be undependable.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Again, can't answer this yet.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
This is a very good value. Very well made and no flaws what so ever on the instrument.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Pretty ligh guitar. Neck was a little loose and had to be tightend. The edge of the frets were a little sharp but these two things were very easy to remedy. The controls are typical for a Strat.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Nice vintage tone. Really smooth. I especially like the neck and middle pickup. I don't know about the bridge pickup yet, but so far..seems ok. Not extremely hot, but a little more than an American Standard.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very nice and smooth.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
It was a tad high with the exception of the high E string. It choked out when bended. The action was not uniform through all the strings. All this was very easy to remedy.
