Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I own American, Mexican, and Japanese Telecasters. I would put this in the solid "Mexican" catagory. Mine came with an aesthetic flaw on the bridge and the setup out of the box was a little rough (this is to be expected as we all have our own preferences).
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
So far so good. After all it is a Telecaster .. a different twist on one .. but still built like a tank!
General
Your general opinion of this product.
All the ingredients are there for a rock tone machine. The Wide Range Humbuckers offer a little something differnt to the sound palette.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I love the set up. Volume, tone, selector layout like a Les Paul but the neck of what feels "right" to me.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This baby has some growl to it! Straight into a Deluxe Reverb on 5 this guitar was oozing overdriven sweetness! Cleans up nice and bites when pushed! Some have suggested replacing the pots with 500k. I could see where it might let the guitar sweeten up the highs a little. Haven't tried it yet though.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
A great looking finish!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Set to your taste... but stock strings are lacking and intonation was off.
