Don't Get Sold By The Looks
    Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This bass has an overall nice fit & Finish. It is Mexican Made with no rough edges, nice hardware and plays fast. Really good looks and neat retro eye appeal
    Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The looks are by far the best feature of this guitar. Because of it's shape you can't access anything higher than the 14th fret. Kinda sucks. The guitar has humbuckers and a high mass bridge with quality tuners. Cool chicken head style knobs.
    General
Your general opinion of this product.
My general opinion of this instrument is that is a novelty guitar. The fact that you can't play higher than the 14th fret combined with the short neck and muddy tone made me realize in 5 minutes that this bass is not for someone that plays. It might be the bass to pull out to get a look at a show on a specialty rock song. This cannot be your main bass. For these reasons, I have to say that it won't see the light of day much in my collection.. I salaute Fender for trying to build something cool for its users. So that accounts for something
    Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Pick ups are not all that hot. I feel the neck pick up is muddy. If you want snap you can use the very good bridge pick up. Tone is less than average. I'll take a P-Bass sound anyday
    Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is beautiful and the pick guard is a perfect selection. Maple neck is also beautifully finished.
