Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
this is a great guitar for the money, got this one on sale during the fender march sale,at $399.00 i had to pull the trigger ! i own 25 guitars so i know what i"m talking about, this is my 5th strat and i have 3 teles, one is from the mexico plant years ago before it burned,so if you have any of these they are collectable. go to you tube and look up fender factory tour and look for the ensenda plant, this is where the mex stats and amps are made, great video ! i think the old factory burnt down back in the early 90"s and fender built it back. i also have a japanese strat ,very well built also. you can"t go wrong with this strat. i have the antigua mexican reissue strat, and my friend has a orignal 1978 and we played them both and side by side and playing you cannot tell the difference ! this one is going to have the dragon fire texas blues pickups in her and they r going to cook ! all my strats and teles have different electronics in them for different styles of music, metal, hard rock,

Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
rose neck is great, slim like i want, factory set up was perfect, the tremlo was set up fantastic,by setting the tremlo claw, i like my tremlos to have a little float,so you can pull up or down to get the vibrato, did nit have to touch the tremlo claw at all!pick ups r good but they will be replaced by dragon fire texas blues.
|
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
great tone from the wood, the pick guard is coming off,i have ordered a pre wired pick guard from tnt guitars, mint green with creme knobs, loaded with the texas blues pickups, check out the you tube clips labeled under dragon fire texas blues pickups, these pick ups smoke !for the price u cannot beat them compared to the big f texas pickups ! i cannot say enough about these pick ups ! i also have the single coil rails and they r just as good if not better as the name brands, the rails are 12.2 k. and the vintage texas blues are wired at .9 k. plenty hot !
|
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
i got the artic white with the rose wood neck, not a single flaw in the paint or finish, the neck actualy had a touch of flame around the headstock and back !
|
Action
How was the action out of the box?
action was great ! did"nt have to touch a thing, even the pickups were set to the proper height,do not like the factory strings, those were the first to go,ernie balls pink went right on.
