    Product Description

Fender's Deluxe Roadhouse Stratocaster tears the place down with extra-scorching Strat sound and style. Its three Texas Special single-coil pickups are wired for supercharged tonal versatility, with a special V6 rotary switch (disguised as the middle tone knob) that delivers six distinct onboard-preamp tone settings from wiry single-coil to searing lead. The S-1 switch built into the volume knob bypasses the preamp completely for pure Strat tone.

Other features include a tinted maple neck with modern C profile and large '70s-style headstock, 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, five-way pickup switch, four-ply aged white pearloid pickguard, three aged white control knobs (master volume/S-1, V6, master tone), and vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge.

    Very Versatile Tones
    Product Rating
What is your opinion of this product?
Let me be upfront. This is the first Strat I've owned as I've been playing PRS, LP and Teles. So the single coil sound of the Strat is new to me. It does hit tones that my other guitars don't and the onboard preamp is a nice feature if you want to beef up the tone. The action is great, very easy to play. It came with light gauge strings from the factory and I don't use them so it's taken some time to get used to. But I think I will wind up putting 10s on it. I've only had it a week and my opinion thus far is its a nice axe for the price if you're looking for the Strat sound. One thing that has bugged me is the top of the bridge has some sharp edges that irritate me. I think if I hit that edge with a little filing that it will cure that.

    Awesome guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
Great guitar at a reasonable price. Needed very little set up for my taste. Action close and smooth. Paint is flawless. I had to by a hard shell case, though the gig bag is padded. Excellent buy. Highly recommended. The Texas special pick ups sound great and the S1 button works well so far. I give it a 5 star all the way around. I have played guitar for over 40 years, and I own many. This Roadhouse has already moved up to one of my favorites. AMS rocks with the service they provide . I had the guitar in 4 days delivered.

This guitar is so sweet you may need to brush your teeth after playing
What is your opinion of this product?
I have 4 other Stratocasters and I love this one more than all the others. The sweet sounding Texas Specials combined with the maple fretboard gives you this bluesy, snappy, sparkling Straty tone that (in my opinion) can't be beat. The neck is super comfortable to play. It doesn't tire out my hands like some of my other guitars. The built in preamp and the rotary switch add extra sounds that are very useful as well. If you use a lot of effects the difference in sounds may not be that apparent, it works best with a clean sound or slightly overdriven. I got the gorgeous candy apple red finish that looks like if you licked it, it would taste sweet. Which makes for some "sweet guitar licks". (Get it?) The pearloid pickguard is the icing on the cake. The only thing I may change is the "aged white" pickup covers and knobs to pure white ones, with is just a personal preference. But overall I would highly recommend this guitar to any Stratocaster fan.
