Super-Solid Telecaster

Solid build. There is no need to upgrade anything on this one.

Sound:

Sounds like a Telecaster, kids. If you like the Tele sound, you will love this guitar.

Reliability:

I've only had it for a couple of weeks. However, I don't anticipate any problems. It's built like a tank.

Overall:

Don't listen to the haters of the Mexican Strats and Teles. The action and intonation were nearly dead-on right out of the box. Plays great, sounds great, looks great. Ditch the gig bag and get yourself a real hardshell case. You will want to protect this gem when you can finally force yourself to put it down and stop playing.

Finish:

Beautiful finish all around. I have the brown sunburst model and the finish is flawless. The pickguard is the preferred vintage white instead of the cheaper-looking bright white. Neck is finished flawlessly as well.

Action:

Very nice. Intonation was nearly perfect. Just a few very minor tweaks and it was good to go.

Fender has gotten much better in quality. WOW!

I own many guitars. On a whim, I bought the Candy Apple red tele MIM. I am very pleased with the quality of this instrument. The finish is perfect.

Reliability:

Keep in mind: It's still a cutting board with a baseball bat attached.

Overall:

I could not be happier with this guitar.

Playability and Feel:

Here's where it really excels. The neck is finished beautifully. The frets are level, and the edges are rolled perfectly. No sharp edges whatsoever. The frets actually have a "scalloped" feel.

Standard tele tone.

Finish:

Great finish. I inspected every inch of this and the finish is 100% perfect.

Action:

Action out of the box was VERY close. After a string height adjustment and intonation, it is perfect.
