Subject:Fender has gotten much better in quality. WOW!
Quality: I own many guitars. On a whim, I bought the Candy Apple red tele MIM. I am very pleased with the quality of this instrument. The finish is perfect.
Reliability: Keep in mind: It's still a cutting board with a baseball bat attached.
Overall: I could not be happier with this guitar.
Playability and Feel: Here's where it really excels. The neck is finished beautifully. The frets are level, and the edges are rolled perfectly. No sharp edges whatsoever. The frets actually have a "scalloped" feel.
Tone: Standard tele tone.
Finish: Great finish. I inspected every inch of this and the finish is 100% perfect.
Action: Action out of the box was VERY close. After a string height adjustment and intonation, it is perfect.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
Do you own this product?: Yes. This is # 25 in my collection. A tele just for the heck of it.

Subject:WoW!
Quality: This is my first Fender. But, I did play an old tele for a couple of months many decades ago, so I know what I tele is supposed to feel and sound like. This one is a bit lighter and seems more delicate than the older tele, but it plays and sounds significantly better! Whatever they've done to the tele over the past few decades is amazing!
Reliability: We'll see how it holds up over time, but...the tele, or at least this one, again, it's delicate as compared to the older brick I played back in the day. The hardware and electronics seem fine, no problems whatsoever after banging on it for a few days.
Overall: Overall, I am blown away with this guitar. Best out of the box guitar I ever got. Within a few hours, I was smokin' tele all over the place. I sat for hours pulling down tele songs and covering them with ease.
Playability and Feel: The feel is natural, intuitive, buttery, easy, really, really fast...dynamic, delicate to frenzy, springy, poppy, spanky, cruncy, munchy, inspirational. At first glance, the neck is fat compared to my Ibanezes, but it's skinnier width wise so it works out nicely, no fatigue whatsoever, just fluidity. Ah-mazing playability and feel.
Tone: The tele tone is there, all tele, all over the place. The newer pickups are better if you ask me. If you roll off the volume, you got old school tele, if you max the volume, it's freakin' hot tele, what was missing in other teles that kept me from getting one this one. Excellent idea with these hot tele pickups. Don't forget to roll off the tone a bit too. You can get a lot of tele tone out of this guitar from spank to...twank. But here's the mind blower...it does metal incredibly well. I have an ESP JH 600 with EMG actives, ...this thing freaking does metal as well. no kidding, shocked. Just amazing. Seriously. Also, there were patches on my Zoom G92.tt that just did not make any sense until I plugged in the tele and those patches just sprang to life! A few patches I used for my humbucker guitars required some tweaking for playability, but that's when I discovered how well it did metal...deep, body blowing crunches and mutes and shimmers. BLOWN AWAY.
Finish: Not as good as I expected from Fender, but it plays so good, screw the finish, I hope to wear it off anyways! And, the gig bag, though it's usable, it's a dust cover, not a gig bag like it should be.
Action: The action was good out of the box, but again, it needed one string height adjustment and a complete an intonation. Oh, and out of the box, after tuning it, it sound like garbage, junk, crap, reject. The factory strings sounded like...fur. But, with a set of D'Addaroio's...it was all there, all there. WoW! Thanks AmericanMusical, and thanks for the price match!

Subject:Tele it like you did before
Quality: Product comes from a very widely respected Fender family. It harkens you back to the days of Terry Kath. I'm so impressed with this I'd recommend it to everyone...
Reliability: Well having it just a month,I don't think my assessment would be fair but I would hope to get many years of pleasure playing this awsome sounding instrument.
Overall: Unbelievable
Playability and Feel: Like a dream. Nice balance with very easy response on this neck.
Tone: I changed the original pickups with "vintage noisless" and this allowed me the "Tele-twang" that anyone who plays a Tele desires.
Finish: Great Look
Action: Had my tech do some things and this is truly all I could have ever desired.
