I would recommend that you consider the "Scratch and Dent" merchandise. This is exactly what I wanted and I saved a significant amount of money.

How has it stood up over time?
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Others can comment about the good or less than good regarding this guitar. I love mine already. My comment is related to the "Scratch and Dent" discount I received on my new Strat. I save $200.00 and was very worried at the potential ugly surprise which I willing choose. When it arrived I was in shock. This $200.00 blemish is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! A tiny little divot in the wood which must have occured prior to paint. It is so small that I wouldn't have noticed had I not scoured the body looking for "Something". Thank you AMS for saving me such a tidy sum.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Action
How was the action out of the box?
