Irani from Temecula, CA USA Overall Ranking: Overall: Sound: Quality: Reliability: Action: Finish: Playability: Tone: Subject: Don't make 'em like they used to! Quality: Appears to be very well, very sturdy, and feels like it could handle the workload of the most seasoned touring musician. Sound: Tone is excellent, I especially like the 3-way selector, the way the were when first introduced, it did come with a 5-way that could be swapped, however, I go old school and just jam it inbetween positions to activate the two selected pickups. Sound is very sweet, and very warm, classic start sound. Bright highs and rumbling lows, you can play any style of music with this guitar and it will sound just right no matter what style. Reliability: I have only had it for a week, but I cannot keep my hands off of it and it has been reliable since (although one week doesn't constitute much), stays in tune very well with the vibrato arm use (dive bombs too) Overall: This is one great guitar, a little pricey but overall this guitar comes with character. I've had numerous Fenders over the years and this one has blown them all out of the water. While realizing this is not an actually '56, it does feel like it has been around for 45 years. Playability and Feel: Compared to a LP, this strat is much lighter and feels great. I have been playing a LP for the last few years with a '50's neck, so there was quite a difference when I wrapped my hand around the neck on this one as it is not a thick, making it even easier to jam faster. Tone: Tone is great! Bright, snappy, and beautiful. It can crank out any sound you want; thick and chunky to bright and thin. There is no going wrong with this guitar! Finish: Paint job is aged, no gloss, and quite rough looking, I love it! Action: Action was perfect out of the box, nice and low the way I like it.
