The Fender 2013 American Select Stratocaster HSS Electric Guitar takes the incredible features of its predecessor to a whole other level! This instrument features Fender’s brand new ‘channel-bound’ fingerboard innovation. They actually inlay the compound-radius (9.5-14 inch) rosewood fingerboard into the thick modern ‘C’-shaped maple neck. This not only provides an elegant look but it also imparts an amazing feel in which both edges are pleasingly rounded, with no side seam between neck and fingerboard!
Fender also gives the American Select Strat HSS a beautiful flame maple-top body with traditional contours. The body has an elegant hand-stained finish with a gloss lacquer topcoat, and the neck has a hand-rubbed oil finish and a comfortable contoured heel.
