Fender PT100 Chromatic Tuner Pedal

The Fender PT100 Guitar Tuner is incredibly easy to use and is built with a heavy, die-cast metal housing.

Stay tuned with Fender's NEW PT100 pedal tuner. Fender has made the best even better by updating the industry standard PT10 pedal tuner. An easy-to-read LED note indicator has replaced the note indicating LED bar. As an additional upgrade, the flat/sharp LEDs have been changed from red to blue for a more modern look. It's like having the PT10 and ST1 in one tuner!

About Fender
Founded in 1946, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation has been an American icon for over 50 years. In that time, Fender’s contribution to the evolving sound of contemporary music has been global and continuous. By introducing the first commercially viable solidbody electric guitar, the first electric bass and countless classic amplifiers, Fender musical instruments have left their mark on jazz, blues, country, rock and many other styles of popular music.

Today, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation continues to offer its timeless electric guitar designs such as the Telecaster and Stratocaster to players around the world, but the Fender family has grown to include several distinctive musical instrument brands, including Squier, Guild, and Benedetto. At the pinnacle of guitar artistry, FMIC’s Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, and its Guild Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, offer hand-crafted custom guitars built to suit the tastes of individual players. Since 1995, Guild Guitars has also been a part of FMIC, and the Guild line of American-made acoustic and archtop electric guitars includes Benedetto brand archtop jazz guitars, considered by many to be the finest jazz guitars being made today. FMIC also distributes the Manuel Rodriguez brand of fine Spanish-made classical guitars.

FMIC’s Squier line of guitars, basses, amps and pro audio gear, combined with its full line of Fender acoustic instruments, offer a wide range of fretted instruments for the value-conscious musician. Under the Fender brand, FMIC manufactures a full line of professional-grade guitar and bass amplifiers inspired by its long tradition of innovation. In pro audio, Fender manufactures a complete line of professional sound equipment under the Fender brand, including the innovative Passport portable sound system. Fender also offers a complete line of accessories, including strings, authorized replacement parts, cases, straps and Fender logo sportswear.

Subject:Seems great to me...
Quality: Before buying this tuner I read lots of reviews on various makes and models. This pedal seemed to get several disparaging remarks that didn't seem justified. Now that I have it, have looked it over and used it, I believe this to be a quality product at an extremely reasonable price - virtually half that of the competition. The case is metal, the switch seems firm and the parts substantial. The plastic LED read out is bright, cool to look at, and built no less solid than pedals that would have plastic knobs at the same position.
Reliability: Seems like it should be reliable.
Overall: I see nothing wrong with this product. I have been playing music for over forty years and am also a electronics technician.
Playability and Feel: I do also wonder about people who are overly picky (read snobish) about tuning. Do they realize that tuning itself is ALWAYS a compromise proposition - people who tune for a living have know this since before Equal Temperament was invented replacing things like Werkmeister and Kirnberger, etc. It is impossible to divide 12 tones evenly between an octave and have the 4th & 5ths fall accurately (it's mathematics). I do doubt that any normally human guitar player is going to be able to detect any discrepancies in this tuner over more expensive ones, nor do I believe the normal guitar stays in that precise of tuning for very long if that same person could achieve it. This tuner is more than adequate.
