What is your overall opinion of this product?
Love this guitar'
Quality
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
Nice fit and finish, the neck is one of the best I have seen at an price range. Sold and beautiful.
Feel
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is of extremely high quality, frets are dressed nicely with no spurs. Craftmenship is of highest quality
Tone
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
The sc101s are bright with nice bell tones, this is achieved with out loss of mids and lows.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I have the vintage blonde model, it is all I could ever of wished for. Vintage all the way, fender would be hard pressed to one up this squires finish.
Value
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
When judging value I feel it is unfair to compare another guitar to this one at this price range. I would say this instrument is more comparable to standard (MX) stratacaster.
Playability
How was the action out of the box?
Action was spot on, no set up required just change the strings and enjoy.
