Squier presents a revamped look for the classic Telecaster - the Vintage Modified Telecaster Special Electric Guitar. This Telecaster model has been modded and hot-rodded with fresh features such as a full-sounding Duncan Designed TE-101B single-coil bridge pickup and Duncan Designed JM-101N single-coil Jazzmaster neck pickup with alnico 5 magnets.

How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
very comfortable neck not noticeably large nor small. good middle. controls fine.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
very pretty tone. I love the rhythm pickup. the lead pickup is good & solid but didn't leave a big impression.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
good butterscotch however half of the body was tinted darker due to darker wood underneath. if you can live with that not an issue.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
action was fair-good. I adjusted truss slightly for lower action. the nut is a little incorrect--1st string is cut wrong, too wide.
