Look out Fender USA!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
These Squier Classic Vibe Series guitars are unbelievably great! I have one of each, now, and the fit, finish and quality take a backseat to no one! Better than MIM Fenders and stand toe-to-toe w MIA Fenders!
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had this one for a couple weeks, but all of my others have given me absolutely no problem. Just pick it up and play, it's that good right from the box!
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Absolutely THE best deal going for "Fender" strats and teles. If people would get over having "Squier" on the headstock, Fender USA would lose ALOT of business. I love the fact that it's a Squier Classic Vibe, and show it off! People cannot believe how sweet these are!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Feels just right. Every Squier Classic Vibe Series guitar I've purchased has come set up perfectly to my liking. Low action and fast neck - just tune up and go! This particular Tele Thinline is nice and light in weight, for obvious reasons.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
This guitar sounds like a Tele should, but just a bit rounder in tone - not quite as bright and snappy as a standard tele, again, for obvious reasons. And I like it just that way. The bridge pickup is not ice-picky or tizzy like most teles.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Outstanding. Poly gloss finish is flawless, and mahogany grain shows thru beautifully. I cannot find a flaw anywhere, which I can't always say about much more expensive Fenders. And the pearloid pickguard is slinky and sexy as heck!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect! Very low, just the way I like it. Just tune and go! (And NO fret buzz at all, same as every Squier Classic Vibe I own.)
