The Kingman Bass SCE’s vintage-inspired three-ply gold pickguard, bone nut and vintage-style rosewood Fender ‘Viking’ bridge with compensated bone saddle in addition to the classic Fender Jazz Bass headstock, tuners, neck profile and strap buttons make it a very distinctive acoustic electric bass.

I appreciate the American Music Supply policies. Brand new, out of the box, I returned two Fender Kingman bass guitars before now. With the complete set up my Fender Kingman bass got before it was shipped to me, the third one meets my demands.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
The quality of my Fender Kingman bass, I think is very good. I'm using it to play rock, blues, improvisation and studies.
Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features?
With the extra time American Musical Supply spent setting up my bass before shipping it to me from their warehouse, the Fender Kingman bass it is exactly what, and everything that I expected it to be. My favorite feature is the Fender electric bass neck attached to what appears to be a body of an acoustic guitar - a novel idea.
Are the controls logically laid out?
Yes, along with the built in tuner, all controls seem logically laid out and are easy to use.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth?
With different strings the tone changes and is good.
How did the stain or paint job look?
The stain looks very nice.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
I think that for acoustic basses in the same price range it rates at the top in regard to my needs.
How was the action out of the box?
Thankfully, the action was set up nicely for playing right out of the box.
