Subject:Awesome!
Quality: The blonde color lets the beautiful grain in the ash body come out and this was an extremely high grade piece of ash used in the body (much higher grade than in a new American Standard tele I just bought). Neck is equally flawless maple. Rest of guitar is perfect.
Reliability: Still relatively new. But I have been playing Fenders since 1962, problems are very rare - almost zero compared to all other brands of electric guitars and basses I have owned (lots).
Overall: Great for playing everyday and a great investment. A telecaster is almost a required item for a guitarist who performs in public.
Playability and Feel: American made telecasters almost play themselves. The factory round strings are OK but a set of ground rounds on this guitar makes it buttery smooth. The vintage "U" neck is a tad less friendly to me than the "C" neck on the American Standard Tele.
Tone: The Duncan humbucker adds a lot of versatility to this guitar and the bidge pickup is pure vintage telecaster.
Finish: Flawless and just the right shade of butterscotch blonde to match the maple neck and let the ash grain obvious. The vintage tweed case is spot on also, but I would get Fender's molded plastic strat/tele case if you play in public - the vintage case is far less water/moisture proof and Fender's new plastic case is a quality item with excellent latches.
Action: Fine for me.
