Great all round guitar
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
From past experience it should be just fine. I have an original 1965 Jazzmaster and this one seems just as good. My '65 still sounds great and the neck is straight as an arrow. Great sound. The new one seems to have a better machined bridge, hotter pickups and a screw in vibrato. My 65 the vibrato just snapped in.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Being a Fender owner since the 1960's I have to say this guitar lives up to it's name.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Guitar feels just like my '65. It's a fairly large guitar but the neck is super comfortable and fast. Easy to play and great to experiment with sounds. I use this guitar for most any kind of music. Controls are easy to get to while playing and it has enough setting so you can set each pickup the way you wish then just flip one switch to get any of your set sounds.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone can go from bright and snappy (twangy even) to mellow and jazzy or anything in between. You can get full thick tones or high thin ones as well. Just a matter of your preference
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is beautiful not a mark or blemish anywhere.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action out of the box was perfect no adjustment needed and I play a pretty low action on my instruments.
