Fender American Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Case

The Fender American Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar can be summed up in one word - Icon.
Not a word to be used lightly. But the American Stratocaster is just that. These updated American Standard Stratocaster guitars are beauties to behold in sound, look and feel. Fender kept the hand-rolled fingerboard edges, alnico V pickups and staggered tuning machines for playability, tone and stability, and added several new features, including improved bent-steel saddles on the bridge with a copper-infused high-mass block for increased resonance and sustain, tinted neck treatment for a richer presentation, and fingerboard buffed to a high gloss, though the back of the neck still has that silky satin finish. Fender also reduced the amount of the American Strat's undercoat to let the body breathe, thus, improving this guitar's resonance. And last but not least, Fender has reconnected with SKB to give you a stronger sturdier molded case.

Fender American Standard Stratocaster Features
  • Bent Steel Saddles with Elongated String Slots
  • Copper Infused High Mass 100% Metal Bridge Block
  • Thinner Undercoat Finish for Improved Body Resonance
  • Tinted Neck
  • 4-Bolt Neck Attachment with Micro-Tilt Adjustment
  • Bi-Flex Truss Rod System
  • Parchment Knobs and Pickup Covers
  • Rolled Fretboard Edges

Subject:The Best, Ever!!!!!!!!!!
Quality: This is one well made product. How could you not go with a American made? There is no comparision.
Sound: The 57/62 pickups have a nice vintage tone to it and are great for Blues and Classic Rock, although with the use of my Zoom John 5 pedal, I was able to knock off some Metal riffs as well. This is one very versatile guitar and just sounds amazing.
Reliability: It's American made, so I don't think reliability will be a problem. I've been using MIM Strats before I got this one and never had any problem with them. Fender makes top notch guitars that are built to last.
Overall: Mine is the 60th Anniversary Commemorative model, which I bought a couple of days ago from a private party. It has the Jewel in the headstock and the 57/62 pickups and came with the silver HSC. IMO, this is the guitar that I've been waiting my whole life for! Nothing else compares to it!
Playability and Feel: It actually seems to be a tad lighter than my MIM Strats. The neck is a bit wider but thinner. It only took me a couple of minutes to adjust to it.
Tone: The pickups on this guitar have that Vintage tone and just sound remarkable. classic Fender tone all around!
Finish: The 3 tone Sunburst finish is just strikingly beautiful.
Action: I did have to do a slight set up in order to accomodate my personal settings, but once I did that, she was ready to go. This guitar stays in tune very well and the neck is very smooth and plays well. I can not put this beauty down. I'm in love .

Subject:Once again, GOOD JOB FENDER!
Quality: I was a little concerned, given Fender decided to "upgrade" an all ready kick butt guitar. AMS allows for returns, so you cant go wrong. Upon reciept and inspection of my purchace, (the rosewood, Sienna burst model), I found Fenders true to form quality.
Reliability: I've never been let down by Fender guitars so I believe that this one will hold up over time well as well as increase in value!
Overall: Fender has been around for a while for a good reason!
Playability and Feel: I use a heaver gauge than the ones that came stock, so after a check to make sure everything worked, which it did, I changed to my guage, "reset the specs". Again, you cant go wrong with Fender. This is my 7th Strat, and I have 4 Teles. Once you learn how to set them up to your "sweet spot" they just rock.
Tone: As this is a single coil guitar, don't look for too much dark or heavy tones that are sometimes associated with 'buckers. You can get execellent rock/blues/classic rock/country tones with this without even trying.
Finish: The finish was flawless. The picture shown really doesn't do much justice. As the "burst" starts to the edge, it kind of looks like fire! Very, very cool.
Action: Action out of any bok will require at least a little adjustment. Especially if you change the strings as most do. I can say that while I was inspecting the guitar for flaws, which included making sure it actually worked, I found it hard to put down TO change strings. Having played some sort of Fender for over 20 years, I've learned the importance of knowing how to set your "sweet spot". Once there, you'll really hear the changes that Fender has made. I am pleased with these changes and found this Strat to be a rocker!!!

Subject:Greatest, most versatile guitar ever made.
Quality: Find a 50's model strat; play it; look at the price, and tell me. They're made just as well, if not better today. What would Jimi say?
Sound: Wonderful pickups, sustain, and sonic capability.
Reliability: These things last longer than people. I've had mine since 07, which has the same hardware as the new ones.
Overall: I love my strat, American Standard or Custom Shop is the only way to go.
Playability and Feel: Great weight balance. My Gibson SG is neck heavy. This and my standard Tele are great as far as weight balance. Not too light, not too heavy.
Tone: Pickups are sick with tubes or solid state. If people dont like the hum, play a piano!
Finish: Love my hi-gloss sunburst, now I want an olympic white!! FOXY!!!
Action: Action PERFECT,for me that is, right outta the case.

Subject:The Real Deal!
Quality: Fender has always made top notch stuff-IMO. Fender and G+L outshine Gibson hands down. I have had trouble finding the right "Tone" strat...Not anymore! It should hold up for years and I look forward to it- Buy one, you won't regret it!
Sound: This is the real deal Strat with all the Tone you need! Every other strat I have had never had the snap or power that this baby has. Plug this bad boy into my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and you can cover any style you want- The pickups are SO versatile! I thought I would have to replace them with handwounds before I actually got her- Not so!!!! With the Ash body and these pickups....WOW!!!!
Reliability: I have only had it for a month. I am sure as all the other strats and tele's I have owned- It will hold up well. Fender always does top notch stuff. Now, with all the quality....I have "The Tone" also!
Overall: I have bought and sold many Strats- Never could find "The One" This Sienna Sunburst is "The One" It will be with me for a LONG time. Just a beauty to hold, hear, and look at! The two point trem is the most stable in the world! Even better than the dual fulcrum on my G+L.
Playability and Feel: The neck is a dream! Plays like "Butta" It seems lighter than any other Strat I have played. Maybe Ash is lighter?? All I know is, when I hold this one...I know it is one with me! I never want to put it down. It's hard to play my Gibson Les Paul or G+L anymore.
Tone: Every Fender tone you want- Clapton, Beck, SRV- Massive cleans, Smoking blues, and spanky snappy twangy all in one TONE MONSTER!
Finish: I checked out some MIM sienna sunburst models. I was worried as I waited for mine to arrive, I soon was a VERY happy owner of an AMERICAN Sienna Sunburst with an awesome grain front and back with just the right amount of fade in the burst.
Action: Action was the best I have gotten out of the box. It's a 2008 new and a few turns on each string and "BAM" it was ready to rock and stays in tune for days!!!

Subject:Best Stratocaster yet!
Quality: It's an American Strat! It doesn't get much better.
Sound: Smokin' hot single coil pick-ups deliver that classic Stratocaster tone. Of course, with any single coil pick-up, you're going to have a little noise, but these pick-ups are pretty quiet. Not noiseless, but quiet compared to many others.
Reliability: I've never had a problem with any Fender guitar that I've owned, even the less expensive Mexico built Strats and Telecasters that I've owned. The American standard guitars are the highest quality.
Overall: I've owned and played several Fender Strats and the new American Standards are the nicest playing Strats I've seen yet! They have a nice feel and a nice, and GREAT tone! I love the candy cola color with a maple neck. The finish is flawless! I LOVE this guitar!
Playability and Feel: This guitar has a really nice neck. It's the perfect size and it's very comfortable to play.
Tone: Loud and bright. Low noise, nice vintage, bell-like tone.
Finish: The finish is flawless and I love the Candy Cola color
Action: The action is smooth and precise right out of the box. I did adjust the tremelo some, but I love the feel of this guitar. Before buying, I debated between a rosewood and maple fretboard. I decided that I liked the maple best!
