| Best Strat I have EVER played |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| Quality is top notch, no issues here. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I've only had it 3 weeks, but it is a keeper. Solid setup, nice hardware. Seems pretty maintenance free since the tremolo is locked down to the body with the 5 springs. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I've been playing strats a long time, and this is BY FAR the best I've laid hands on. The neck is just stellar in feel and craftsmanship, and the subtle appointments such as John's signature being on the back of the headstock rather than the front make this guitar classy as well. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Neck is a little chunky, but nothing to lose sleep over. It is SOOO comfortable. I'm considering selling a couple other strats I like this one so much. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Pickups seem a little on the low output side. You can really tell the pickups are scooped, but it probably isn't as over the top as some make it out to be. Very mellow and glassy without being brittle. Pretty thick tone overall. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The Olympic White is very VERY classy. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Perfect. Low without being too low, and just high enough that the strings didn't get stuck under my fingers when bending. |
