| Monster Tele! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| This guitar is very well made! The fret work is great and the feel of the neck is amazing. The overall feel of the guitar is very solid. In this instance being MIM is a very good thing. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I have had this guitar for a little over 2 months, played it almost every day. Seems like it will hold up well in the long run. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Overall this guitar is the quality instrument you would expect from Fender. The colaboration with Jim yeilded a beautiful guitar. The case is awesome as well. The fact that the guitar came with strap locks was also a very nice touch. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The neck is smooth and fast! The neck has a little chunck to it but not in a bad way. I don't have huge hands but am still able to play comfortably. Volume control is nicely placed and the 3 way switch is far enough away that you don't accidentally move it when playing aggresively, but close enough to switch when needed. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| This is where this Tele shines and comes into its own. The combination of the mahogony body with the EMGs is a match made in heaven. Tone is nice and fat as would be expected. The pickups retain their definition even when heavily distored. I didn't buy this guitar expecting a great clean tone but it delivers very nicely on clean settings as well. The guitar sounds good, and I don't miss the tone knob at all. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| I got the flat black guitar with the maple finger board. The guitar looks great. Paint job is well done. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Action was very playable right out of the box. Lowered it just a bit due to personal taste. |

| Great Telecaster Fully Loaded! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The guitar is henche en mexico. I know Fender has caught a lot of flack for making these in Mexico, but i don't see any difference in the quality. The neck feels nice and smooth, and the body's satin finish feels and looks great. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I've only had it for 2 weeks, but no problems to report. It does feel more solid than some import guitars I have. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I wanted one of these since the day they were introduced. This telecaster is the total package for those of us that want classic looks with a great metal sound. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The body feels a bit heavier than my imports, however the neck on this is phenomenal. Total Shredders neck, it was based off of a Charvel neck. Smooth finish makes it easy to play. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| As mentioned in the tone, the EMG's retain their classic characteristics, they just come across a little brighter compared to other EMG equipped guitars I own. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The finish looks great. No Flaws no problems |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The action out of the box was a little loose, little slack in the strings, but however, was somewhat in tune, 1/2 a step down. I'm making a note of this to potential buyers, as the artist who uses the guitar typically tunes down anywhere to B to A and other various tunings. |
