| THE NECK!!! it is where it all the quality in a bass has to be. This bass has it in spades. | | Features:
| Amazing for a straight to gig, no set up bass. I love the lack of features! No pointless EQ's no stupid balancing acts between pick ups. Just plug in, tune up and rock out! | | Sound:
| Once again I was blown away. I really only thought that they bass would be good for light rock, WRONG this thing can do anything! Two nights later I played it at a Hard core metal show and again was blown away by how easy the transition was to make. | | Playability and Feel:
| Broken in right out of the box. No fret wire snags and nothing but the round shape of your hand feel you have come to depend on. The SINGLE pick up is much stronger then many muti pickup basses I have played in years! | | Tone:
| The tone brews ups from this bass like good coffee. Dark robust and enough over the top highs to be perfect. The Bass was made to be paired with an Ampeg SVT head and 8 10 cab. It's the sound of American Music Mussel You can play anything on this bass. | | Finish:
| I bought the sunburst with the rosewood neck just because I thought it would look nice... When I opened the box I was BLOWN away buy how nice it really was! Glossy and perfectly painted, no flaws what so ever! | | Action:
| I bought this bass because of a need to have something for when I sit in for some other bands. It now replaced my trade mark Thunderbird, with my now trademark P. Smooth and low just like it should be. I un-boxed this bass and took it straight to a show. Drop tuned it to D flat, and it didn't bump, or hiccup once! | | Date submitted:

| | | Subject: | This Is The Bass You Hear In Your Head | | Quality:
| This is my 4th bass and it is far superior to the (good) 2007 Fender MIM P bass. I had no idea there was that much difference in just the pro feel of the new MIA Fender P. It wasn't cheap but it was more than worth it. Nicely done Fender. | | Features:
| Love the heavier bridge and truss rods. The overall weight feels about 1-2 pounds lighter than the MIM. The sound is deep, clean and pure. The pickup looks about the same as the MIM but sounds much better. Through-the-body Fender 9050M strings make a difference as well. | | Sound:
| This is the sound you hear in your head when you think of the P bass and all the big hits. A ton of bass players on tour still play the P and for good reason. I think James Jamerson would love the new American P. | | Playability and Feel:
| Well balanced. You can play gospel in church a long time without getting tired. It feels like quality in every way. It's probably the last bass I will ever buy. Not to overstate the case but it is just fine in every way. | | Tone:
| Not a lot of variation but enough. VERY quiet even with treble up all the way. Pickup has good output, warm and smooth. Low E is really there. Fat when you want it and very nice midrange for the quieter stuff. I play through a Hartke 4x10 with a Hartke 15 and Hartke amp. | | Finish:
| Beautiful. Great fit. Not a mark anywhere. The resale on this bass will very good if I ever wanted to sell it, which I won't. | | Action:
| Fast and smooth. No setup really needed. No buzz. No dead spots. No sharp edges. Deep gloss maple fretboard. Perfect neck size and STRAIGHT. May not even need a luthier on this. Intonation seems right on. | | Date submitted:
