Sound: The tone is rich and full on the clean channel and the dirty channel is very cool in it's self. Reliability: I have had no trouble at all out of my amp, I just wish it was about 25 lbs. lighter. Overall: This is one great amp. I own and play Marshall,Carvin,Mesa,Traynor and other vintage tube amps and this meets or beats most all of them. This amp is the best 2-12 I have ever used. Playability and Feel: The amp. is a bit heavy but it is worth it for the sounds that this thing produces. Tone: This amp produces some very clean tones, everything from dark and dirty to bright and twangy. Finish: All of the cosmetics on this amp are great and hold up very well. Quality: It's like a tank. Made of darkness and steel. You can't really hurt it. I had a jack go out on me ONCE. (and probably because I was a stupid high school punk) and Fender replaced it for free. (Under the 5 year warranty) Sound: How does one describe diversity. I'm a big Fender fan. I like that I can bring this amp to my jazz/big band, then over to a friends house to play TSO covers and get that Al Pitrelli sound, then over to church. and it fits in everywhere. I use effects almost all the time, except for jazz when I just use a little bit of the on board spring reverb, but I -HAVE- used just the amp overdrive in a pinch. What kind of guitar you use -will- completely change the tone and amount of drive you get when you do that. If you have a strat, don't except a really heavy distortion out of the thing, but you will get a real nice blues sound. But if you plug in a LP or an Ibanez, the thing -WILL- crack out some truly wicked tones. Reliability: I took this amp with me to Hawaii from the main land on a tour so I made sure I had an Anvil case for it. Because of that, it's always look supreme. Overall: When I originally bought this guitar when I was back in High School it was $650. It was probably the best piece of equipment I ever bought. It was stolen a few months ago and I instantly went out and bought another one. Yes it's expensive, but you can use this for anything. Playability and Feel: I wouldn't try to adjust any of the knobs while playing, unless you're using the foot switch. Tone: If you have the right guitar, and a good cable, you can get any tone you want out of this thing. Want it mellow for comping? Done. Bright for leads? Done. Make it sound thin with a bunch of mids? Done. Big ol' fat bottomed? Done. It has what you're looking for. Finish: Classy and perfect. Action: One thing about this amp is that it's incredibly loud. I think I need to get my amp tubes re attenuated. For church the setting I need is somewhere between 1 and 2 (it goes to 12!) and I have to ever so lightly touch the knob to get it where I need it.
