Fender Super Champ Lives Up to It's Name
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Solid cabinet construction. No issues.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it a month, but worked perfectly out of the box. No issues yet.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
The sound of this amp matches the You Tube video made by Fender. I am very suprised at the warmth of the modeling programs in this amp. I have always found the modeling in other devices/amps (e.g., POD) to be a little shrill sounding: this amp corrects that issue. Again, watch the Fender video: it's a very accurate sound review of the amp. What you hear is what you get.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Knobs are classic Fender amp knobs, very easy to use and dial-in/repeat your settings.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Exceptional. You can use this as just a standard small tube amp, or dial in the modeling settings. For 15 watts, suprising loud. To "spread-out" the sound more, I might consider getting the speaker cabinet that goes with the piggyback version of this amp.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Perfect (tolex?) cover/application.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
N/A.

any doubt that this amp is not giggable go check out this amp in action live at - www.rickhoneyboyhart.com ...i found this blues guitarist using one and it sounded great...from what ive read he uses is a tube screamer and some basic effects pedals,,,and the reverb from the amp. people were only saying the super champ was mainly just a practice/recording amp...these vids prove otherwise. ..i havent recieved my amp yet but wanted to share this with buyers who couldnt decide if this amp was capable of being gigged with without pa help. ..im sure though if your a metal player it wont do the job without the line out to a pa...but if your a blues or lounge guy or classic rocker it should hold up fine on its own and if ya need more mic it.

words of wisdom: 1.let the pa do the work if you need more volume. 2.dont bust your back or your wallet. 3.realize its a computer age-dont deal with ancient technology, get with the program all you "legend in your own mind rockstars"(bless your hearts), amps we all used 30 or 40 years ago should all be museum pieces. 4.always remember - the magic comes from the musician,a great musician can make an inexpensive setup sound as good as an expensive setup. 5.the people listening to your band dont need their hair blown off their head from a volume crazy guitarist.
