This 40 watt, 1x12 inch comb amp has a unique voice thanks to a pair of 6L6 tubes for full bottom end and an all tube preamp with a 12AT7 up front for cleaner tone that works great with humbuckers.
A 100-watt Jensen C12K speaker handles the immediacy of Benson’s singing soloing style with clarity and range, and the solid-pine cabinet increases tonal resonance while reducing weight. The Fender GB Hot Rod Deluxe also features clean and ‘drive/more-drive’ channels, resounding Fender spring reverb, effects loop, and a unique gray-black vinyl covering and silver-strand grill cloth specified by Benson himself.
