Their Blackface cosmetic treatment (skirted knobs, silver grille cloth) makes these amps look as good as they sound! Each amp includes a headphone jack and an auxiliary input allowing the user to play along with a CD, tape player, or drum machine. Details include 3-band EQ, and an external speaker jack. Playability and Feel
Wow! Best 99 Bucks I Ever Spent !
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Fender always puts out top notch stuff, even if it's made in Mexico or China. This is no exception.
How has it stood up over time?
I just got it yesterday, but I'm sure this will last me a long time.
Your general opinion of this product.
This has to be the best sounding, solid state, combo amp in this price range. I could use this at a small club gig with no problem at all. I love this amp.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I'm glad I got this, because now I don't have to lug around my heavy ,Peavey Bandit 112 Transtube, to band practice or small gigs, anymore. This is a very easy amp to operate and is highly reccommended for both beginners and those on a low budget IMO.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I absolutely love the sound and tone of this amp. Plus it takes to pedals very well. The Clean on this, is Classic Fender all the way, while the Gain is top notch contrary to what some of the tone snobs may say. For a 25 watt combo, it's very loud. At home, I only have the volume on 1, while at band practice, I have it on 3 and am able to keep up with the Bass and Drums with ease. I might though, upgrade the stock speaker to a Eminence in the future, just to unleash the full potential of this amp.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Mine is in the Texas Red finish and it looks absolutely great.
How was the action out of the box?
The knobs turn just fine, thank you.
