I can't Believe it!!! Quality: I checked this guitar all over trying to find a flaw and couldn't find any at all. The guitar is solidly put together. The controls feel with really good. I mean that they rotate with some resistance which help keeping settings in place.They are even better than those in the Fender's Standard Strat MIM with controls that feels like they rotate so easily that with any movement could change settings. Reliability: I just have it for a couple of days and I can't tell much about its reliability. However, being put together so well and feeling solidly built, I dare to say that it should last years with proper care and maintenance. Overall: This is a great value for the money. You don't get many well built and good sounding electric guitars for $299. Playability and Feel: The guitar in my opinion is light and won't kill you after a couple of hours playing it. The neck shape is awesome and its finish smooth which makes it fast and accurate to play. The guitar really fit the contour of your body making guitar and player one monster. Tone: The sound is very good and better than many other electrics costing $100 to $200 more. The sound is not ideal for metal for which you'll need good humbuckers. The sound is a bit too thin for my taste so I replaced its original strings with a set of Dimarzio Jazz strings to play some jazz and it sounds very good. I guess the original strings are not that good so I recommend to change them with your favorite set and see how it goes. You might end up doing some trial and error here because your favorite string might not sound good in this guitar but hey, give it a try. I did, so why not you, right? I'm planning to replace the original single coil pickups with the Fender Vintage Noiseless Strat Pickup Set which will make my guitar sound like a big $$$$ guitar. Finish: Wow, this is where this guitar excels. The finish is flawless and spotless. The glossy three color sunburst with the black pickguard makes it one of the most beautiful guitar I've ever owned and believe me. If you get one in your hands you'll love it too. Action: Out of the box the action was a bit too low for my taste and even the 6th string buzzed a little bit. The intonation was off quite a bit but. After I set it up myself in no time, the action is the way I like it and the intonation problem corrected. I spent many ours adjusting it and I just could not make it work right for me. I own one other Squier, a Affinty Tele which was made in China and I love it, that is why I considered this one when I was looking for a Strat, but this is made in India, it's just not as good. Sound: The tone is alright, nothing to write home about. Reliability: I have owned and rebuilt many guitars in over 30 years of playing them and this is the first guitar that I couldn't make play right to save my life, totally frustrating. Overall: Absolutely beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at it, but then I tried to play it and the thrill was gone. Playability and Feel: Balanced well, not too heavy, but some of the frets were so sharp they cut my hand and the controls felt cheap. Tone: I have to say the PUP's are of good quality and sound good. The PUP's and finish are the only things good about this guitar. For what I got, it's over priced. Finish: Like I said at the top, absolutely beautiful, so pretty it looked like it could play itself.
