Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The body is very well-made, weight is good, finish looks great. Poor setup out of the box. This is my second one, and just like the one I owned a year ago, this one needed the fingerboard leveled above the 12th fret-line. Bridge plate screws were loose, and if you ever want to install a pickguard just for the heck of it, you can't-the control cavity/plate doesn't line up where it should-didn't on the other one either. If you are willing to spend an hour making some adjustments, this is a great deal. The neck on this one is straight-the last one was bowed and needed to be straightened off the body while clamped to a table
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Low-cost fretless with nice feel and balance; looks nice; terrific pickups; ease of getting after-market parts.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
I like these, but for $300 why can't Squier make this the same quality as the vintage Vibe series?...I'd be willing to pay $50 more to get better overall quality of parts and especially the neck. I also think the lack of a real finish on the neck is dumb. Make it a gloss finish.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The pickups are a little on the bright side, with less bass than most, but they are responsive.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Body finish=A+ Neck finish= F
