An immaculate reissue of an all-time-great amp! The Fender '57 Bandmaster Guitar Combo Amplifier joins the prestigious Fender Custom series amps, with all-tube hand-wired circuitry and premium components. The classic 5E7 circuit of the original has been faithfully reproduced and pumps out 26 watts through three 10 inch Jensen P10R-F alnico-magnet speakers, voiced warm with an incredibly dynamic response.
The ’57 Bandmaster reissue amp's harmonically rich clean tones are perfect for vintage rock, blues and country styles, and its naturally touch-sensitive overdrive tone sounds electrifying, especially when cranked up. Fender absolutely nailed the original’s tone in this hand-wired masterpiece of an amp.
The late-'50s tweed-covered Fender Bandmaster guitar amplifier combined great looks with sweet tone and powerful performance. Hailed as one of the true holy-grail amps among guitarists and collectors, vintage examples are rare and highly sought after. The original is most famously know for the amp used by Pete Townshend on the legendary Who’s Next album.

| I recently purchased a Fender ‘57 Bandmaster from AMS, and I am thrilled. What an awesome amp! Big warm and clear. Easily the best amp I have ever owned, and maybe the best I will ever own. Sweet Fender cleans and smooth, classic distortion when cranked.
The ‘57 Bandmaster is perfect for me. Yes, I know there are clones and even kits you can get for a 5E7 that are cheaper, but Fender clearly put a lot of R&D and love into this amp to get it right. Just right, in my opinion. It’s just right for me, certainly, and I think a lot of people will fall in love with this amp once they get a chance to play one. |

| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Cleans are Classic Fender. Very focused and sweet.
Clean headroom is pretty much what you’d expect from a amp rated 26 watts—it needs to be fairly loud to saturate the output section, but it’s not a big amp that will knock your house down before it will breakup with creamy tube distortion. In fact, clean headroom is pretty comparable to my Super-Sonic 22 on the Vintage channel. They are pretty close in rated output, so that’s not too surprising, BUT the Bandmaster (mine, at least) shipped with 6L6 Groove Tubes with a power rating of just 1—their lowest rating (the SS 22 is loaded with 6V6s rated ‘5’). That number is not a reflection of quality, but is a rating of how soon a tube with distort. Higher rated Groove Tubes (or some other brand) might get more headroom if you need it. The amp will have to be re-biased if you do this, of course. |
