| Great Guitar For The Price |
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I had a regular Mexican made Stratocaster years ago and this one is right along side of it. I got more than I thought I would get for that price. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| It is built right and the quality can be felt. The frets are a little rough, but an emery board fixed that with no problem. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| It has a very nice balance and the neck is turned just right. It came with a good setup done on it and most guitars I get for a higher price have to have a setup done immediately. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| The tone is fantastic. I can get a full range of sound out of this thing. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The finish was bright and clear even for the black color. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Like I said before, the action was nice from the package. |

| Great Value So Far |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The guitar seems to be well made, but being from Fender that should go without saying.
I noticed that the neck needed to be adjusted, but a slight adjustment to the Truss Rod seems to have done the trick. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I have only had the guitar for about three weeks. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| If your looking for a high priced guitar, you probably won't be happy with this one.
But if your looking for a starter guitar or an around the house guitar for home recording, and you don't want to ivest a bundle, this might be just what you are looking for. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The "Fender Starcaster Stratocaster Electric Guitar" is shipped with Fender light guage "Original Bullets" and while I usually like extra light strings, I have to admit that the action with the is pretty good with the "Original Bullets".
The instrument is not too heavy and feels comfortable. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| With the three pick-up, two tone adjustment knobs and five setting switch, the tone of this instrument is highly adjustable. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The actual instrument I purchased was discounted as a "Scratched & Dinged" instrument, (Of course as I only plan to use it to write and record songs in my bedroom, I wasn't real concerned about appearence), I am still trying to find the so-called Ding.
I'm sure it's there somewhere, maybe I'll be able to find it after I get new glasses |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| I guess you could say that "Out of the box", the action was slightly rough, but a few minor adjustment to the truss rod fixed it right up.
(If your not Proficient at truss rod adjustments, I would find someone who is to help me.) |
