Fishman Fission Bass Powerchord FX Octave Bass PedalThe Fishman Fission Bass lets any bassist lay down beds of power by adding stacked harmonies over their bass lines. The Fishman Fission Bass Pedel uses an intuitive set of controls and footswitches to produce powerchords or octave-up effects. Several combinations of octaves, 4th and 5th above the root note combine to produce these effects.

The four footswitch LEDs give you visible indication of the selected harmony. When the effect is off, the LEDs dim making it easy to set up a harmony before you kick on the chord. It's also a multi-effect pedal with up to 3 voices of harmony, adjustable noise gate, overdrive, tone and effect level. This power-effect combo gives you creative control over anything from subtle octaves to thick, grinding effects that even your guitar player will envy.
Housed in a lightweight, yet sturdy metal enclosure, the Fishman Fission Bass Octave Pedal uses state-of-the-art 32-bit signal processing and 24-bit audio conversion. Its monophonic input accepts a wide range of pickups. The mix output is perfect for single amp operation and an effect-only output for feeding a dedicated guitar amp.

| As I said built like a tank, been using it for 6 weeks, home, practice, and a couple of gigs, no problems... bought the a/c adapter so, I cannot speak to the length of battery life. |

| This unit is all about choice.. octave up .... add a 4th below that...or combine with or add the 5th above the octave... and to top it off a guitar power chord of octave above bass, octave above that, with the 5th in between... even has a separate output for the effect for a guitar amp |

| How is its Tone? |
| Honestly, the 4th, and the upper guitar chord sound fantastic, the 5th by itself sounds weak. What sounds like too much in the bedroom will get drowned out with the band, you have to crank the effect and it's fine... your INTONATION is key, if your off a little, it will be off, and sound like it. You have to hit the strings with authority and it sounds great... just barely touch the strings and you get a crappy metallic sound like a flanger with the regeneration cranked or a poor sound. |

| well thought out additions of a noise gate, which actually is more useful than you think, overdrive, blend from completely off to full bore screaming guitar to the point of feedback ala hendrix. Tone control and a effect level to blend from just a slight guitar on top to guitar way over the top. |

| Overall I love this unit... It's not perfect, but you can find ways to make it work with your playing.. If your off at all, pitch wise, so will the harmonies!! But to quote my drummer " wow, that sounds like a guitar player is playing with you." |

| construction and finish are flawless...even went to the trouble of silk screening the instructions on the back panel. |
