Product Description

The Fishman Loudbox 100 is a potent and portable acoustic guitar amplifier producing a staggering 100 watts of power and pure tone from a sophisticated bi-amped design that redefines Fishman's already high standard for acoustic guitar amplification.
Another legitimate breakthrough in the company's 25th Anniversary year, the Loudbox 100 is designed for acoustic players who need maximum power, projection and tone shaping in a highly compact and portable format.

A two-channel amplifier, the Loudbox 100 is conservatively rated at 100 watts (RMS cumulative) and can produce 114dB SPL (1 meter) from a bi-amped configuration with active crossover and Master Volume.

The Loudbox 100's Instrument Channel features extensive tone shaping with shelving style Bass and Treble, resonant Midrange and Notch Filter and Phase switch for feedback control. A 1/4-inch input with gain control, 10dB pad and Clip indicator is complemented by a dedicated effects loop and XLR D.I. Output.

A versatile Instrument/Microphone Channel includes 15V and 24V Phantom Power for condenser microphones along with Shelving Bass and Treble, Notch Filter, Phase Switch, and a 1/4-inch input and Balanced XLR input. Other useful features include a full complement of Digital Effects (Hall 1 & 2, Plate 1 & 2 and Chorus, with Channel and Master Levels); a Dedicated Effects Loop with Level control and XLR; an Auxiliary Stereo Input with Level Control; D.I. Output. It also features an Auxiliary Stereo Input with Level Control; Balanced XLR Outputs for Instrument Channel, Inst/Mic Channel and Main Mix D.I. Output; tweeter level control; a Tuner Output; Mute control for both channels and a Remote Mute Control footswitch.

Its dimensions are only 16 x 13.5 x 11.5 (40.5cm x 34cm x 29cm) and it weighs just 23 lbs.

Best Acoustic Amp Ever
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Highest quality amp I have owned. Though I have never seen a badly built amp from any of the major companies. It feels rugged, and its nice the speaker is protected by a metal grate.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Built rock solid. My cats are not able to shred the metal grate.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Outstanding for my needs playing at a 300-400 seat church, with a conga player and bass player. This replaced my Behringer ACX450 45 watt amp, that could not handle the large space.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The white on black lettering makes it easy to adjust even in low light.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone is perfectly acoustic. I use an Epiphone Masterbilt mahogany/spruce all solid wood acoustic with a Fishman Rare Earth Blend pickup. At low or high volumes it never loses a true acoustic sound. I just drop the midrange as I get louder. Zero feedback at 40% gain and 80% volume, with my Blend dialed to about 80/20 mic/mag.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very sleek black finish
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The knobs on this amp have the best "feel" of any other amp I have used. They "hold" their position and are neither too loose or too tight.
