Building on the momentum of the incredibly successful CTRL One USB DJ controller, Gemini is taking functionality to the next level with the CTRL Seven USB Midi DJ Controller. Now, you can enjoy the same innovative features and powerful command offered by the original, but with the added flexibility of fully mappable Midi. That means no matter what dj software you use - Traktor, Virtual DJ, Algoriddim, MixVibes, etc. - it can be mapped to the CTRL Seven USB midi DJ controller. It has two individual channels, each with a touch sensitive jog wheel that lets you search, cue and scratch. Plus, the CTRL Seven USB midi DJ controller also boasts 3 band EQ, master volume, channel volume, channel rotary gain and a cross fader with an adjustable slope that lets you toggle and mix playback between both channels, while a stereo VU Meter adds a convenient visual element for monitoring decibel levels. Plus Gemini has included the Virtual DJ software that offers a variety of samples while providing space for up to twelve samples in your bank. Add your own samples for a more customized experience!

Too Good To Be True
General
Your general opinion of this product.
If it worked as advertised it would have been a great little controller, I liked the functions and controls available, and the size was perfect for me. I received 2 from AMS and neither worked properly, both did some very strange things, controls randomly jumping about and then back to where they should be. One had a problem with one jog wheel not sensing that you were no longer touching it. The other had almost no volume from a microphone. With the features, inputs and outputs, and price, this would have been a great deal, but AMS took care of me and soon I should have a 3rd controller and hopefully this one will "play nice".... Thanks AMS, hope this works out better than the first 2. As for Gemini, I think I'm going to give them another chance and try a CDJ-700, but I'll be thinking that through for a while, and I know if there's a problem, AMS will take care of me...

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I had 2 with problems, decided to try something different. I think a little QC and it would have been an awesome product.
|
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
If it had worked it would have been great, and I'm fairly new to DJing. For me, the 2 I received were unusable, hope others had better luck, as the CNTRL-7 would have been great had it worked properly.
|
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I liked the inputs and outputs at this price level, and fair access and control over most aspects of the software. I didn't use it enough to really know what to add, other than higher quality and better QC.
|
Sound
How is the tone?
Sound from the first one seemed fine, the second one not as good and no mic volume. Also, controls like EQ knobs and cue volume would randomly jump around, painful once when cue got real loud for about half a measure.
|
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
If it had worked as it should, it would have "taken the cake" for value at this price level.
