Made with an alnico magnet to give them a rich, full tonal response similar to a vintage humbucker, 490 series humbuckers deliver clear trebles and excellent mids and lows, perfect for clean rhythm work all the way to nasty leads. Available with neck spacing (490R) or bridge spacing (490T). Both models feature four conductor wiring for series, parallel and split coil operation. A bridge position "modern" vintage humbucker. The tonal characteristics provide a wide range of possiblities, from great clean rhythms to fat and nasty leads. Similar sound to the '57 Classic, but equipped with a 4-conductor lead cable. Calibrated to match the 490R.
