Gibson Custom Johnny A Signature Electric Guitar with Case

The Gibson Custom Johnny A Signature Electric Guitar combines several innovative design aspects with loads of Gibson appointments.
The completely hollow body features contoured outer surfaces but a flat inner back, resulting in less feedback and bright, snappy response. A custom neck profile, and custom pearl inlays combine with traditional features like multi-ply binding, gold hardware, and an ebony fretboard to create an instrument that captures the magic of Gibson’s past while eagerly anticipating the future.

Subject:A MONSTER of Melodic Tone!! Currently the best Gibson has to offer.
Quality: Very well made... pricey for sure... but when guitar is what you love you make no exceptions. I'm sure this is one of the more expensive guitars for Gibson to manufacture/craft.
Reliability: The first Johnny A I purchased is 4 years old and holding up fine... It has the bigsby and it is as true today as when I purchased it.. My newest JA is the stoptail. The quality seems to be on par with the earlier model.
Overall: I'm glad Gibson took a chance on this product line.
Playability and Feel: It is a light guitar that you can wear all night without requiring chiropractic therapy. It also sits comfortably in your lap when you want to relax and jam. Johnny actually jammed on my guitar at a music store and he said it had a "chunky neck" That must mean both of my guitars have a chunkier than usual neck... I think the neck are perfect.. chunk and all. I wish the volume control for the neck pickup was a little closer when I am doing volume swells, but I can usually make do.
Tone: The tone is bright and snappy for a Gibson because of the scale length. My guitar can sound like four unique guitars with a quick switch of the toggle and a volume/tone adjustment. It keeps my sound interesting and gives me a lot of different places to take my pedals.
Finish: It's a beautiful looking guitar. The sunset glow had to grow on me, but now I'm smitten. The mahogany back is beautiful. The only dislike is that the gold hardware has to be wiped free of prints after use before you put it away or else it gets funky.
Action: Action was fine, but you will need to use a little 'nut sauce' on the nut slots. It will help inhibit tuning issues from sticking strings.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
