    Product Description

The Government Series II Flying V is a true piece of history, commemorating an interesting time at Gibson. The US government raided the Gibson factory in August, 2011 and seized a large amount of rosewood. Eventually, the wood was returned to Gibson and is now featured as the rosewood fingerboard of this extremely limited-edition Flying V.

Classic Gibson features include a Mahogany body with a 60s profile Mahogany neck. Dirty Fingers+ pickups provide aggressive tone which embodies the attitude of the Flying V. A black pickguard with the Government Series logo and a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the Gibson CEO make this a truly unique instrument that will make a great addition to any arsenal.

What is your opinion of this product?
I just received mine the other day. Pone is exactly what I was looking for. A heavy growling sound, for aggressive music. It is an Army Desert Storm Color with a satin finish. The contrast of the black hardware and the tan go nicely together. I’m not that impressed with the finish. Some scratches in the body that should have been sanded out before the paint was applied. I took some scotchbrite to the neck and that seem to help the feel some. The action is low. The frets need to be dressed. Pickups sound great. Neck pickup is heavy, bridge is bright and aggressive. I was able to get great controlled feedback and squeal. The Machine Tuners are great. Tight, precise and smooth. The balance of the guitar is great. I can wear it neck pointed up or down and it stays put and feels good..
