Gibson

The Gibson Explorer Series captures classic Explorer styling.
The Gibson Explorer's radical body shape debuted in 1958 and was almost 20 years ahead of its time. Not until the late 1970s did rock and roll's most daring guitarists embrace the Explorer, and that classic 1976 styling is captured on today's X-Plorer. Includes hardshell case.

Gibson Explorer Electric Guitar Features

  • Mahogany body
  • Rounded mahogany neck
  • 496R and 500T humbuckers
  • Tune-o-matic bridge
  • Mini Grover tuners

It ROCKS !!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Overall good quality, but had a string stick in the nut because its too tight, had to tighten pickup switch and input jack, both loose after one month of playing. Two small paint blemishes.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
So far so good
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Great guitar, but had to tighten a few things up that I shouldn't had to.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I love this guitar.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Pick-ups are incredible. Sounds great through my Marshall.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Overall good, two small blemishes, I'll probably do worse myself at gigs, but on a brand new Gibson? C'mon man.
