Great guitar and a great price
Your general opinion of this product.
I was shopping for an ES 175 then I saw this guitar on You Tube in a comparison test. This guitar can give you the sound of the ES 175 easily. I tried both before making a purchase.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
So far, this is a very well made guitar. No flaws and I looked it over really carefully. Paint is great and polished well. No over spray or orange peel. If it's like my other Gibson guitars it should last me and my children.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Tone can go from blues to jazz and anything in between. This is more of a jazz/blues guitar so if you're looking for a hard rock instrument this is not it. You can get away with pop, soft rock (Ventures styles possibly) and styles like that. This guitar has a great jazz sound when using the neck pickup. That is the main reason I picked it up. The sound is really close to the ES175
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is superb. No issues and even the case is great.
