| How can you NOT like this guitar?! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| I'd say the overall quality on this guitar is exceptional. Authentic wear and a truly solid build. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| How have some much older 335's weathered the decades? Because they're made buy Gibson. I have no doubt this guitar will be just the same. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| From top to bottom, this guitar looks, feels and even smells old! Exactly what'd you expect to find tucked inside a real deal guitar shop, minus the vintage guitar "big bucks" price. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Neck is smooth, minimal shoulders (a big +) and a slightly flattened center to the back of the neck. Maybe a tad bit wider fretboard than most Les Pauls. At least it feels that way. Overall, its about the same feel as a "50's" style neck but without the bulky shoulders. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| This thing howls! 335's have a tone all their own. You gotta experience it. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Beautiful finish. You can keep the cherry red's, gloss black.. The Vintage Sunburst on THIS guitar is the tops! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| A little high, but playable. People all want low action, but the notes can't sustain unless the action is a little high. Adjust to taste but don't let skill level be a sacrifice for good tone. |
