    Body and neck
The Les Paul Peace 2014 is crafted in a faithful image of the original Les Paul Standard. It’s made from a solid mahogany back with traditional weight relief for a lighter strapped-on feel, with a carved AA figured maple top. The glued-in mahogany neck with a slim ’60s profile features a bound rosewood fingerboard topped with a TekToid nut, and carries 22 cryogenic-treated frets for long life and corrosion resistance. Traditional trapezoid inlays and a commemorative 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret complete the striking look.

    Pickups and electronics
The guitar carries a pair of Gibson’s great new ’61 Humbuckers with chrome covers, wound with unbalanced coils for that traditional PAF-style edge and depth. They have independent volume and tone controls with Orange Drop capacitors, and a three-way selector switch.

    Hardware
The inclusion of Min-ETune automatic tuners, which also work manually, makes the Les Paul Peace an unparalleled performance tool. Simply activate the system and strum to retune your guitar within seconds, or to change to any one of 12 factory presets or 6 user presets. A chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece engraved ‘Peace’ with peace-sign studs anchor it all down for outstanding resonance and sustain, while enlarged strap buttons (new for 2014) keep your guitar secure throughout the set. Custom tie-die knobs are joined by a vintage-cream pickguard, binding, and pickup mounting rings.

    Case and coverage
The Les Paul Peace 2014 comes protected in a custom hemp-covered hardshell case with peace-sign graphic and tie-dye lining, includes a truss-rod wrench and owner’s manual, and is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty and Gibson’s 24/7/365 Customer Service.

Beautiful looking, amazing tone in this Gibson

What is your opinion of this product?
Guitar arrived two days after it shipped in perfect condition. I purchased the Tranquility Blue model and the top on mine is incredible. I have owned other Les Pauls but this is the best top I have ever personally owned and one of the best I have seen. Perfectly book matched, stunning grain in the wood and a beautiful burst finish from the sides to the middle. I have purchased five brand new Gibson guitars over the past 18 months or so and have been very pleased with all of them aside for a few, small issues that were easily addressed. Bought a J15 that arrived without a pick guard but Gibson had that on my doorstep within a week so no big deal. New Les Paul also arrived without a pick guard but a quick email to Gibson solved that. The Peace has an incredible tone, plays amazing and everyone that sees it does a double take. I have even had people request to take pictures of it inside the very cool case because the whole Peace motif is so interesting. Etune is really accurate as well

What is your opinion of this product?
When I opened the case for the first time I gasped at how beautiful the guitar was. I purchased the purple as a second choice to the green but am 110% please with the color. This guitar screamed rock n roll from the moment I plugged it into my amp. Weight, color, feel, sound etc etc are all as close to perfect as you can get for a guitar out of the box. I'm a product of the 60's so the etune took a little getting used to but I like it. I find myself practicing longer because the feel and awesome sounds these guitars produce.
